I saw my very first opera today!! Our program directors were able to get us all tickets to see the show, La Boheme at the Royal Opera House! The inside of the building was gorgeous. It was red and gold, and it was huge. They had seating on about five or six different levels, and though we were in the very top section, we could still hear and see everything just fine. The cool thing about this performance is that none of the performers were on a microphone, but you could hear everything they said, or... sung? :) The music was beautiful and very well done. They also had English subtitles above the stage so we could still understand the story. Over all, I was very impressed and I would definitely be interested in seeing another opera at some point.
Do you know the Muffin Man? I hear he lives here.... :)

From the VERY top of the Opera House!
Luckily, Lauren, Hayli and I all had seats together!
