Well, the 4th of July is very different in England, that's for sure!! Needless to say, I have still enjoyed the holiday. I was actually pretty sad that I couldn't celebrate the way I normally would with my family. Anyways, I was still able to have a great day! This morning, Hailey and I got up and made our own red, white, and blue breakfast. Then we went out shopping at a few great places on Oxford Circus. We went out for cupcakes and just hung out the rest of the evening. I have had at least three people ask if I was American today, and then wish me a happy 4th of July. That totally made my day, along with the fact that the cupcake shop we went to today had special Red Velvet 4th of July cupcakes. That was definitely a highlight, and made for a successful day.
Delicious Red, White, and Blue Breakfast!
Sometimes when you're riding the Tube (Subway) your hair gets blown out the window...
Selfie at the pub we discovered for lunch!
Me and Lauren!
This is the downstairs of the pub; the upstairs was much busier.
My subtle 4th of July outfit... Stars on the shirt and the headband, and enough red, white, and blue to be patriotic. ;)
Lunch: Codfish sandwich with tartar sauce, sweet potato fries, and lemon-lime soda.
Shopping at Oxford Circus: a must-do in London!
The Amazing Red Velvet 4th of July Cupcake! (It was more expensive than the regular red velvet cupcakes, but sometimes these American things are important when you're missing home!)
