The past few days have been fantastic! On Saturday morning, we woke up early to go to the Portobello Road Market. I sang the song from
Bedknobs and Broomsticks in my head the entire time. It was amazing! There were small stands and shops selling all sorts of things, from food to bags to china to clothes... It was great. :) We ate a delicious waffle breakfast there, and shopped all morning. Later that evening, we went to see the Crucible at the Old Vic Theatre with Richard Armitage playing John Proctor. The show was just unreal. It was one of the best shows that I have ever seen live. We were also able to get the tickets for really cheap. It was a slightly restricted view, but we were able to move around a little bit and see everything pretty clearly! I absolutely loved it! We had the opportunity to go to church at one of the wards in London today. I got to teach the little kids in primary as well, and they were so good. I love them already!
Here's just a glimpse of the market! It goes down along this street for at least a half mile.
My banana, nut, chocolate waffle!
We ordered crepes for lunch and bought them right off the street.
Hailey and I shared a sweet and a savory crepe. Mine was ham, cheese, and spinach, and hers was Nutella and strawberries.
This is the set before the show! It was done in the round, so the stage was at the center of the audience. It was kind of creepy, but it definitely added to the play.
This is Lauren with Richard Armitage... Yes we did get pictures!!
This is my church group in front of our small chapel!
