We departed from Edinburgh this morning and made our way to the Lake District! The Lake District is a group of lakes that is famous for its fantastic scenery and beautiful landscapes. The nature there was unbelievably picturesque. Our first stop was at Dove Cottage in Grasmere, where poet William Wordsworth lived with his family for many years. We also got to try some homemade gingerbread, and it was unbelievable! I bought the package with six pieces in it to share, and it was soo yummy!! After that stop, we made our way to Lake Windermere, where we would be staying for the night. We went on a walk around the small city, and then spent most of our time out by the lake. They were so beautiful, so naturally most of my pictures are of landscapes and scenery. :) We spent the night in the Ambleside Hostel, which was my first time staying in a Hostel. It was.... very hot and kind of gross actually, but everyone staying in my room was part of our program, so it could have been worse. Over all, the Lake District was simply breathtaking.
