Okay, we all hear about these places in history classes and such, but it doesn't seem as real until you actually get to visit. That was my experience with Stonehenge this morning. It was fantastic! Who knew a pile of rocks could be that exciting... :) But really, it was huge and beautiful. After we left Stonehenge we took the bus to the city of Bath, where we were able to look at the Roman Baths, which was kind of like a spa. We also got too look around and shop for a bit in the city, which led to dinner in a small pub (fantastic) and a few detours to look at impressive architecture. On the bus ride there and back (because it is about 3 hours outside of London), Hailey and I listened to the audiobook for the Shakespeare play, Julius Caesar, as part of our homework. It was a bit difficult to keep with it the entire time, but it will be completely worth it when we see the play tomorrow!
Failed attempt at a selfie... We were dying laughing after this one;)
Here's the real picture!
Bath Abbey
The main pool at the Roman Bath!
The hot springs and steam area
We all made wishes in this natural green pool.
This was some AMAZING Gelato!! Madeline and I both had the Salted Butter Caramel flavor. :)
This is the pub we went to. And yes, the food was so delicious!
Brie and Bacon sandwich on a baguette. The Brie was melted, and the bacon was really fried ham. It was fantastic.
The Green English Countryside. Oh how I love this place. :)
