We woke up early in order to avoid some of the huge crowds and ended up being able to enter the Louvre around 10:00. While inside, we saw some very famous artwork such as the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. After spending some time in the Louvre, we went to Notre Dame Cathedral and got some mushroom, ham, and cheese crepes outside. They were amazing!! We waited in a pretty long line, but we were able to see inside Notre Dame. It was huge, and the stained glass was gorgeous. We walked outside and went souvenir shopping on a street right next to Notre Dame which then led us to the Ile Saint Louis. There was a pretty well known ice cream shop on that island called Berthillon so of course we had to try some! I had the peach and mango sorbet, and it was probably the best fruit sorbet I have ever had. We had about an hour before we had to go home, so we just walked around and enjoyed being in Paris. It was such a fantastic trip, but I am so happy to be back in London, living the dream. :)
The Louvre!
This angel used to welcome visitors to the Louvre, but was later moved inside to keep it safer.
The Mona Lisa and the large crowd that surrounds her.
This statue of the Eiffel Tower is made of red chairs!
I was able to get this crepe from the same place that my dad and I ate lunch at last summer. :)
