The Changing of the Palace Guard.... Kind of?

Lauren and I decided that this morning we would get up early so we could go get breakfast and then see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace.  Apparently it's supposed to be pretty neat?  We got up and got smoothies, then went to Buckingham Palace at about 10:15 to stake out a good spot before the change at 11:00.  We people watched, talked, took fun pictures, etc.  When it finally becomes 11:00, we were waiting on edge with our cameras ready for the pictures and videos and... Nothing happens.  We watch as it becomes 11:05, and then 11:10, and still nothing.  We were so confused, because we couldn't have missed it, we were right there!  So finally at 11:15, Lauren finds a security guy and asks him if it is at a different time today, and he kind of laughed at her and said, "Oh, I'm sorry Miss.  That only happens every other day, and today is not one of those days."  I know.  We should have looked it up, but what can I say?  We still had lots of fun. :) We did a bit of shopping on the way home, mostly for a little bit of food and souvenirs for the family.  I also got a great start on one of my final papers!  I have about a half a page left, and it is looking good!  Hayli, Kathryn and I went out for Chinese food for dinner, and it was yet again, fantastic. :)
